--Nov 18, 2008, 17:05, Tokyo--Nintendo offered a first look today at the special gifts it will be giving out to Platinum and Gold members in its Club Nintendo rewards program.

This year, Platinum members, those who managed to get above 400 points over the period of October 1, 2007 to September 30, 2008, will be able to chose one item from the following three:

Wii Golden Steering Wheel

A gold colored version of the steering wheel that Nintendo bundled with Mario Kart Wii. The steering wheel does not come with the game or a Wiimote. This item will be delivered at the end of March 2009.

Club Nintendo Calendar 2009

This prize includes three copies of the same card-based desktop calendar and one sheet of schedule stickers. The only difference between the three calendars is the frame color. The calendar's size is approximately 120x145mm. This item will arrive at the end of December.

Super Mario Hat

A polyester hat that's meant to look like the cap worn by Mario in all his games. Only one size will be on offer, and Nintendo says that it will be a bit on the big side for girls and school children. This item will arrive at the end of March 2009.

Gold Members, those who managed to get between 200 and 399 points over the same period, will get the calendar set.
