Space Invaders gets final release date

Taito has had Space Invaders Get Even flagged with a vague August release date for quite some time now. Today the company at long last shared a final release date for the WiiWare downloadable title.

August 26 is the big day that the Space Invaders extract their revenge against the citizens of Earth. As previously disclosed, the game will be available as a 500 WiiPoint starter pack, with three separate stage packs available for 500 available simultaneously.

The Space Invaders won't be the only alien force invading WiiWare later this month. Hudson's Alien Crush Returns, a new version of the classic PC Engine pinball game, will hit on the 26th as well.
