Tecmo gathered the press in Tokyo today for a press conference showcasing its upcoming games lineup. Taking a central place at the event was Wind of Nostalgio, which got a release date and some bonus items detailed.
Team Tachyon's Keisuke Kikuchi, producer of the game, took the stage at the event and provided some background information, most of which had been previously disclosed. The title of "Nostalgio" is a combination of "Nostalgia" and "Geo," explained Kikuchi. His goal with the project was to offer a "nostalgic newness" through a product filled with the sense of adventure, drama, character growth, customization and collection aspects of the RPGs he experienced as a child.
The game is set in an alternate 19th century, an era of adventure where air ship technology has advanced and everyone takes to the skies seeking out new worlds. The game's main character, Eddy, is in search of his missing father, and comes across a mysterious young girl, Fiona. This meeting sets him off on a journey throughout the world, where he visits various countries designed to resemble real life cities and ruins.

Playing a major part in the game are the air ships. More than just a means of transportation, Nostalgio's air ships are used for air-based battles as well, complementing the game's more traditional party-based battles. You can customize the ships using custom parts that you gather on your journey.
Until today, Winds of Nostalgio was set for a general Fall release. Today, Kikuchi delivered a final release date of November 6 for the game. Pricing is set at 5,800 yen.
Tecmo is planning two bonus items for pre-orderers. Reserve the game, and you'll get yourself an art book and an original soundtrack CD.
The title will be on display in Tecmo's Tokyo Game Show booth, so those wanting an early look a month ahead of release should head to Makuhari in October.
