Valkyria Chronicles anime conversion announced
New show to hit airwaves in Spring.

Sega announced today an anime conversion of the critically acclaimed PS3 strategy title Senjo no Valkyria (known in overseas markets as Valkyria Chronicles). The anime conversion will hit the airwaves in Spring 2009.
A-1 Pictures is producing the new show. This studio is known for its work on Persona Trinity Soul, Tetsuwan Birdy Decode, Kannagi and Okiku Furikabutte.
Aside from this, details are currently being kept under wraps.
Screenshots of the game version distributed by Sega today to coincide with the anime conversion's announcement.
Coinciding with this announcement, Sega has opened a teaser site for the show. The site makes note of the strong praise the game has received both domestically and internationally.
Outside of this anime conversion, Valkyria Chronicles can also be experienced through manga. The latest manga conversion, titled "Senjo no Valkyria: Wish Your Smile," was scheduled to kick off today in Comic B's Log.
