Capcom planning console-specific bonuses for Resident Evil 5
Xbox 360 gets metal case and soundtrack; PS3 gets making-of video.

Last week, Capcom shared first details on a limited edition package for Resident Evil 5 (known here in Japan as Biohazard 5). Today, the company revealed that the standard versions of the game will include console-specific bonuses as well. It also provided a look at the game's packaging and a closer look at the limited edition items.
For the standard version of the game, PS3 owners can look forward to a special making-of video segment which Capcom says was produced by "Hollywood staff." The footage will be included on the same disc as the game. Capcom states that this is the world's first PS3 game software/Blu-ray video hybrid.
The initial allotment of the Xbox 360 version of the game will be referred to as a "Deluxe Edition." On top of the standard game disc, Xbox 360 buyers will get a special metal case and a soundtrack CD titled "Biohazard 5 Selection Track."
As previously announced, these versions of the game will retail for 8,800 yen. The Xbox 360 version is listed by Capcom as a limited edition which will revert to a standard game-only version once supplies run out. The PS3 version will presumably keep the bonus video on all discs.
Those who do want the ultimate RE5 experience will, of course, want to consider the Biohazard 5 Limited Edition. As announced last week, the 12,800 yen package includes a copy of RE5, a 2 gigabyte USB memory card shaped like an item from the game, a 32-page full color art book, and a waist pouch that's also designed like an in-game item. This bundle is exclusive to Capcom's e-Capcom sales site. Pre-orders kicked off today at 10:00 and will continue until 15:00 on December 16.
Both PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game are available as part of this Limited Edition package. Xbox 360 owners who purchase the Limited Edition will get the Deluxe Edition version of the game included. While not specifically mentioned by Capcom, it's presumable that the PS3 Limited Edition version's disc will include the special making-of video footage.

The e-Capcom limited edition bundle includes a 2 gigabyte memory card, an art book, and a waist pouch.
All versions of the game arrive on March 5. As announced by Capcom last week, the Japanese release of RE5 has been pushed up by one week and will now precede its international counterparts.
