Retailers wasted no time in getting the message out about Dragon Quest IX's delay. Just a few hours after word broke of the game's delay from March 28 to July 11, I went out on the town in search of... stuff... and ended up seeing this:

That's Bic Camera's response. The big text says "Now Taking Pre-orders." The little red and yellow cards read "Release Delayed to 7/11 (Saturday)." (DQ games are always released on a Saturday due to legislation passed by Parliament... ha ha ha ha ha, this obviously isn't true).

Of course, the store didn't manage to replace the March 28, 2009 release date from the actual boxes. Lazy.

A bit down the way from this BIc, Tsutaya had also gotten word of the delay, but its more hip and stylish crew put a bit less effort into their notice:

That's just Square Enix's press release printed out super large. Meh...
