Professor Layton returns

Professor Layton returns on the DS for another trilogy.

Level-5 opened up an official website today for Professor Layton and the Devil's Flute, an all new DS entry in the Layton series of puzzle/adventure games. The title is listed for Fall release.

This will be the start of a new trilogy. Only the page for Devil's Flute has been opened at present.

As detailed by the site, this first volume of the trilogy travels back to before the original Professor Layton and the Curious Village, telling how Layton and Luke, his young partner in puzzle solving, first met. Luke is described at the site as "a boy who has foreseen the coming of the end of the world."

The title "Devil's Flute" refers to a flute which, according to a legend known as the "Devil's Legend," can be blown to bring about a mysterious giant who will destroy the town.

While Luke and Layton return, the site says to expect the rest of the game's regulars to be all new.
