Here are some stories that took me a long time to write but got no clicks:
- Final Fantasy XIII Screens at Famitsu.com
- Final Fantasy XIII Site Updated
- Mr. Goto on Larrabee in PS3
- Microsoft's Takashi Sensui in the Nikkei Trendy hot seat
Now here's a story that I spit out in minutes and everyone clicked on:
Okay, okay... I get the point. You want Resident Evil 5 comparison pics. So, I'll give you Resident Evil 5 comparison pics. Well... pic, at least.
Capcom Japan sent out pics and details of RE5's Versus mode today. Included in the bunch was one set of shots comparing the PS3 and 360 versions.
Do you see the differences in the title screen? Look closely!
Speaking of versus mode, did you notice some of the odd differences between the US and Japanese announcements? In America, Capcom announced a release for "a few weeks" down the road. In Japan, Capcom shared a specific date: March 26.
Presumably more offensive for US-based gamers is the pricing. The Japanese version costs 250 yen on the PS3 and 160 Microsoft Points on the 360. The US version is about double, at $4.99 on PS3 and 400 MSP on 360.
It's possible that Capcom is just protecting itself against a much, much, much stronger yen for later in the month, but I predict a firestorm once people realize the pricing disparities.
