Square Enix announced today a final release date for Final Fantasy XI's previously announced Ishi no Miru Yume expansion scenario. FFXI players will be able to purchase the scenario on March 23, at 980 yen.
Known in English markets as A Crystalline Prophecy: Ode to Life Bestowing, this is the first of three expansions that were announced at the Vanna Fes 2008 in Korakuen fan event in November of last year. The other two, Senhyou! Mogu Matsuri no Yo (A Moogle Kupo d'Etat: Evil in Small Doses) and Santotto Teikoku no Inbou (A Shantotto Ascension: The Legend Torn, Her Empire Born) will arrive later, with a few months spacing placed between each add-on.
Players will be able to purchase the new scenarios through Play Online. The only requirement for purchase is that players have the original FFXI and the Zilart no Genei (Rise of the Zilart) expansion. The add-ons will be available for PC, Xbox 360 and PS2 players.
Although available for purchase on the 23rd, the expansion will not actually be playable until after an FFXI update that's scheduled for early April.
