Nintendo kicked off another term for its annual Game Seminar development program today. The company is now accepting applications to the program at the official Game Seminar site.

Game Seminar is a ten month development course funded and run by Nintendo. Over the course of the program, participants take courses from game developers in such areas as programming, direction, design, and sound, eventually splitting up into teams to develop original DS games. Past student projects have been distributed as free downloads via DS Station kiosks.

This year's program will accept 40 people. The only requirement is that participants be college or trade school students residing in the Tokyo area. Submissions will be accepted at the Game Seminar site through May 6, with the actual program beginning in June and running through March 2010.
