Cave announced today an Xbox 360 version of its horizontal arcade shooting game Mushihime-sama Futari Ver 1.5. The retail title will arrive some time this year.
The arcade original off which the 360 version is based was first released through AMI in 2006 as a sequel to the original insect-themed shooter Mushihime-sama ("Mushihime" translates literally to "Insect Princess"). Players select from two characters, each offering different attack styles. Version 1.5 of this game, released in December 2006, serves as the base for the 360 title.
An article at Famitsu.com offers a few more insights into the game via a Q&A with the development staff. According to the developers, players of the 360 version can look forward to an upgrade to high resolution visuals similar to the updates Cave made for Death Smiles. Cave is also currently looking into possible balance adjustments.
The game is expected to have online content. In addition to a score attack mode that's compatible with online rankings, the game will offer download content of some unspecified form.
Development on the home version is currently at between 20 and 30%, according to the Q&A.
