As you might have heard by now, Microsoft is holding a big press conference in Tokyo today to share its upcoming Japanese Xbox 360 lineup.

Wondering what's going to be shown? So am I! I was so eager for clues, in fact, that I took the unprecedented action of updating one of those horribly out-of-date release lists from the front page.

Check the Xbox 360 list, and you'll find a fully up-to-date schedule of upcoming releases for the machine that hardcore Japanese game players like to call "Xbox Box" (this makes much more sense when you see it in Japanese, as "box" is written in the Japanese kanji for "box").

Please note that by following through to the previous link, you agree to not look at any of the other release calendars, which are horribly out of date and "flawed" in various ways.

Surprised at the general lack of notable content on the list? That's a reasonable reaction, considering that Microsoft's release list once had the following:

Of those, all but Mass Effect has seen release (Mass Effect -- yes, the original -- is set for May). In terms of JRPG's, the 360 currently has End of Eternity on the way... but that's about it, and it's not even exclusive!

I'm hopeful that Microsoft will clue us in on a few more exclusive blockbusters.

The press conference starts at 2:00PM local time. I'll be live blogging either here or at IGN Xbox 360 or possibly both, so be sure and check back!

In the meanwhile, here are some links to past Xbox 360 presser coverage here at this site:
