Nintendo offers new version of Ugoku Memo Chou

Nintendo made available today a new version of its DSi Ware launch title Ugoku Memo Chou. Version 2 of the software can be downloaded for free via the DSi Shop.

Version 2 adds a number of features. High end users will find additional pens and brushes and advanced layering and zoom tools. The software now allows users to send memos directly to other users using the internet.

Some functionality from the Ugomemo Hatena site has been brought over to the DSi with the new version, including channels support, which splits memos into categories, and the ability to directly comment on the works of others.

While the Version 2 upgrade is not required, Nintendo has stated that after an unspecified amount of time, users of the old version will no longer be able to access the "Ugomemo Theater" viewing mode for viewing memos.
