This was formally announced late last week, so you might have read about it on websites that are more diligently updated, but in case you haven't heard, Katamari Damacy Tribute has a final domestic release date. Players can look forward to the PS3's first garbage picking up game on July 23. Namco Bandai has priced the game at 6,279 yen, making it a bit lower than your typical PS3 third party game, but a bit higher than your typical PS3 first party game. The CERO rating is A. A.
Timed with the date announcement, Namco Bandai gave the confusing Katamari Damacy Tribute official site an update on Friday. I'm not sure what's new. The history section just says "contents" were added, so please explore on your own!
I *think* the update may be the "suteki song" section, which lists the artists who are creating the "suteki" (that's Japanese for "cool") songs for the game. Visit this area of the page (the second menu option from the left) for pics of the game's music artists and links to their official sites.
Also at the page is information on the tentatively titled Katamari Damacy Tribute Original Soundtrack. Set for release on August 19 through Columbia Music Entertainment, this soundtrack will sell for 3,150 yen.
