SNK Playmore announced today a delay in the release of the home versions of King of Fighters XII.
Previously set for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 release on July 16, the game has been switched to a TBA July date. The company said it would provide a followup once a more specific date is available.
As reason for the delay, the company cited a desire to deliver a product of higher quality to users.
The home versions of KOFXII add a number of features over the arcade version. Players can look forward to a total of 22 fighters, including Mature (from KOF 2003) and Elizabeth Blanctorche (from KOFXI). Both versions also have support for full online combat along with the promise of some unspecified download content.
