Wii Firmware Update Available

Nintendo made available today a firmware update for the Wii. The update is a bug fix which takes the system up to version 4.1.

As disclosed by Nintendo immediately following last week's release of Wii Sports Resort, the Wii's version 4.0 firmware has an issue which caused a Wii Sports Resort tutorial video to replay each time users booted up the game after having played download titles directly off the system's SD Card Menu. The company promised an update to fix the issue, and this is it.

Wii owners can upgrade their firmware the usual way, via the update button in the main system menu.
