Players in Japan won't have to wait too long for a domestic release of Battlefield 1943. On Friday, Electronic Arts announced a final Japanese release date for the downloadable shooter. Xbox 360 owners can look forward to the game on July 8, priced at 1,200 Microsoft Points. The PS3 version will follow on July 9, at ¥1,500.
Overseas, the game has been confirmed at July 9 for both platforms. The difference in dates for the domestic and overseas 360 version is presumably due to time differences.
Battlefield 1943 is the latest entry in DICE's popular Battlefield series of FPS games. While the series has taken to the future for past installments, it returns to a World War 2 setting this time. The game offers online play for up to 24.
