Sony's announcement of the new slimline PlayStation 3 earlier today may have not come as much of a surprise given all the early retail leaks, but here's something that didn't get spoiled. Namco Bandai and Sony are teaming up for a limited edition bundle that combines the new system with a copy of the upcoming Kidou Senshi Gundam Senki.
Known as the Kidou Senshi Gundam Senki Gundam 30th Anniversary Box, the bundle includes a copy of the new PS3 Gundam game and a standard black PS3 slim (model number CECH-2000A). The bundle will also include the bonus items that are being included with the first press run of the software-only version of the game: product codes for downloading FA-78-3 Full Armor Gundam and RX-81AS Assault Armor, and a product code for downloading an original HD Gundam animated movie.
The bundle will be available on September 3, also the release date for both the slimline PS3 and the software-only Gundam Senki. Pricing for the bundle is set at ¥38,359. The standard version of the game goes for ¥8,329 with the new PS3 selling solo for ¥29,980.
