I was on the train today, en route to a Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 demo event in Shinjuku, and I heard all these little kids crying and whining. I wasn't sure why. Until I stopped by at the giant Yodobashi Camera and saw one possible reason:

Pokemon Heart Gold & Soul Silver... sold out, with the next shipment coming in on the 19th.

The DS remakes hit retail on Saturday. A Tsutaya insider said earlier in the week that a number of Tsutaya outlets had sold their initial stock to pre-orders, so it's not surprising that the famous Tsutaya in Shibuya was also totally sold out when I'd checked Saturday night:
