A demo of the real Platinum Games version of Bayonetta has finally made it onto Xbox Live Marketplace. The Japanese internets was quick to assemble lots of sexy Bayonetta shots, at long last letting us see how the in-game Bayonetta compares to the real thing:

Here are some forbidden shots I found at My Game Flash:

For those who haven't been able to get their hands on the demo yet, I'm pretty sure you can't actually get Bayonetta to show show off the other side during her super finishing move (the pics with Bayonetta's hair storming around her).

Hachimaki also posted a few comparison pics between the 360 and PS3. Can you figure out which is which?

If you need help:

PS3 is to the left and 360 is to the right.

It's tough to see any difference. It's another story entirely when they're in motion, though. You can download some comparison movies here (beneath the YouTube embed).

  • The colors seem a little washed out on the PS3 (even in the pics), and the videos make the framerate differences totally evident. I played the demo on PS3 though and it played fine, so that's the part that matters to me the most.

  • Gave the PS3 demo a quick spin. The technical deficiencies are... noticeable. Still playable, but it's obvious that the game engine is struggling to keep up with the craziness, or just the environments themselves. Knowing that a superior performing version exists, I would be remiss to pick up the PS3 over the 360 version. Let's hope they can patch this one into shape eventually. Fun game this one is.
