KOF Sky Stage is going on location test this weekend at Hey in Akihabara. "No biggie -- I already played it at September's Amusement Machine Show," you say.

First off, you shouldn't be talking to your computer screen. Second, there may be a good reason to try out the game at the location test anyway: new characters!

The Sky Stage official site was updated today with a new notice for the location test. Previously, the notice showed character art for Athena and Kyo, the two playable characters from the AM Show version of the game. The new artwork has swapped these two out for Kula and Iori.

The Sky Stage blog confirms that these two characters will be playable in the upcoming location test version. Unlike Kyo and Athena, who are well balanced and easy to use, Kula and Iori will take some getting used to but can prove powerful for those who invest the time.

Outside of the characters, the game will see updated game systems and enemy positions. The blog will be updated with further details leading up to the weekend.

Those who want to try out the new build should head to Hey on the 17th or 18th. Additional screens of Kula and Iori can be seen at Famitsu.com.
