Bayonetta is the new queen of gaming. Madonna is the old queen of pop. What happens when these two royal figures cross?
We're unfortunately not going to find out any time soon. But, thanks to Sega's latest promotion for the upcoming Platinum Games crossplatform title, we'll at least get to see what the Bayonetta character looks like standing next to people who know Madonna.
As detailed by Sega today, the promotion will take the form of a thirty minute television program called Queen's Lab Madonna X Witch Bayonetta. The Bayonetta character, presumably represented by her live action commercial actress, will take a central role in this show, speaking a language you won't hear her speak in the game, Japanese (the game's dialogue is English). Joining the gaming heroine will be Madonna's private chef Mayumi Nishimura and dance unit Hamutsun Serve, who performed as part of the singer's Sticky and Sweet Tour. The show will be hosted by Miho Nishida, a model from fashion magazine Pinky.
Madonna won't be appearing in person, but viewers will get to see video clips of the super star. Guess someone at Sega forgot to tell her that Bayonetta got a perfect score in Famitsu!
The special program will air on BS Japan on October 31 from 23:30 to midnight. Bayonetta hits retail two days before that, on October 29.

Sega spent their marketing budget buying that 40, couldn't afford Madonna.

And they couldn't afford network television either, it seems.
At least they got the chef!
