What system does Nintendo's new DSi hardware revision look like?

You've seen the specs. Now get a close up look at the DSi LL. Nintendo has shared official hardware pics showing each color in closed and open state. See for yourself here:

Look like another system to you? Aside from the fat stylus, the DSi LL really does look like a standard DSi:

DSi LL to the left, DSi to the right.

Of course, when put next to one-another, the screen differences should be obvious. Compare the sizes for yourself at Nintendo's special DSi LL page.

  • I wonder what the "LL" in DSi LL mean. I assume it is a reference that the duel screens are large. I did not expect that it will weigh more, as each DS revision weighed less than the previous one. This model does not. I also did not forsee that the larger stylus is literally a pen. Anyway, this will surely attract older people to the DS and expand its demographics.

  • The extra weight is probably due to the larger battery needed to keep those screens powered up. Damn that thing is BIG. I don't know if I'm as interested as I was before. Need to size it up with the Asus Eee to determine if it's even suitable for my purposes.
