Capcom issued a supplemental report to yesterday's earnings briefing today, providing a closer look at its sales for the half year gone by and a glimpse at its game plan for the remainder of the year.

The biggest selling Capcom title for the first half of the year was Monster Hunter 3, which managed 1.1 million shipments in Japan alone. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G took second place with 900,000 units, although 500,000 of this was from Japan, with North America contributing 150,000 and Europe 250,000. In yesterday's briefing, the company stated that Monster Hunter's overseas sales were not to expectations.

For the remainder of the year, Capcom aims to place an emphasis on overseas markets, with a target of overseas sales accounting for 75% of its business. It also hopes to expand its online business, making mention of giving Monster Hunter Frontier Online a push in other areas of Asia. It also noted that Monster Hunter 3's online connections have exceeded expectations.

Digital distribution features into Capcom's upcoming plans. It says that it hopes to continually offer upgrades via PSN and XLA. The Japanese language report mentions continued add-on content for games like Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter IV. These two haven't had download content for some time now, but perhaps this could be an indication of more content to come.

Capcom expects its biggest title for the second half of the year to be Lost Planet 2, with 3.7 million units sold worldwide across PS3 and Xbox 360. The report lists lists a worldwide winter release for both versions. It's still unclear if this means they'll be launching simultaneously.

Super Street Fighter IV will hit PS3 and Xbox 360 worldwide in Spring 2010, and Capcom expects 1.1 million total sales.

Resident Evil will be represented by two titles. For Wii's Darkside Chronicles, the company expects worldwide sales of 800,000 units. PS3's motion-based Resident Evil 5 Alternative Edition hits worldwide in Spring 2010, and Capcom plans 300,000 units.
