3D Dot Game Heroes still isn't officially out, but the character homages are already streaming in. Yesterday, someone shared an Old Snake. Today... well, see for yourself:

Cloud Strife

Hatsune Miku

Pirate Patty (Tales of Vesperia)

Holy Invasion Of Privacy, Badman! demon

Gundam

Evangelion

A little help, please...

In my story on the Old Snake character design from yesterday, I remarked that 3D Dot Game Heroes does not facilitate the exchange of character data. This is correct -- there's no actual in game interface for exchanging data with other players. However, you can, and are encouraged to, trade with other players using direct file transfer. For those who have the game Hachimaki has links to the files for many of the above models.

Just one warning before you get your hopes up high: you can't see the Hatsune Miku model's underwear in the game.

  • The red thing looks like the mascot of ChocoBall sweets from Morinaga. The last two should be from Evangelion as well . It's the new form of angel Ramiel from the recent Evangelion movie remake.

  • Not to spoil the fun but the remaining mysterious 3D sprite looks like that girl from Draker than Black. Not 100% sure though.

  • Holy crap at Gundam. Looks awesome. Glad to hear about character data swapping. Downloading for potential future use.
