Square Enix appears to be trying its best to replicate the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 experience for local audiences. In addition to a short wait for localization, the company announced today a domestic version of the game's Xbox 360 system bundle pack.

The Xbox 360 Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition includes a copy of Modern Warfare 2, a 360 system with an original design and 250 gigabyte hard disk, two wireless controllers, a headset, and all the requisite cables. The bundle will be priced at ¥39,800. The current "Elite" model, featuring a 120 gigabyte hard disk, goes for ¥29,800.

Modern Warfare 2 buyers will find the Limited Edition at retail opposite the game itself on December 10.

  • And my prayers have been heard! So glad for this. Didn't want to import and be hassled by region locking.

  • Plus, you get a Square Enix logo on the box this way.

  • Two controllers, but only one headset, and composite cables. Who packs these boxes?

    @arekkusu: MW2 is region-free.

  • lech, I was referring to the region-locking of the consoles themselves. If I were to get the US version of the limited console it would not play the vast majority of Japanese domestic releases.
