Wii's Virtual Console service doesn't cover portable games, but that won't be much of an issue for Gyakuten Saiban (aka Ace Attorney) fans shortly. Famitsu reveals this week that Capcom will be bringing classic entries in the series to WiiWare.
The magazine reports that the first entry in the series, Gyakuten Saiban Yomigaeru Gyakuten (Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney), will be offered on December 15 at 900 WiiPoints. It will be followed by Gyakuten Saiban 2 (Justice For All) on January 26 and Gyakuten Saiban 3 (Trials and Tribulations) on February 23, each at 1,200 WiiPoints.
The Yomigaeru Gyakuten (Rise from the Ashes) scenario that was added to the DS version of the original Gyakuten Saiban, will also be offered as a 300 WiiPoint download on March 16. The initial WiiWare download of the original does not include this scenario (this is presumably why it's priced lower than the other two games).
The Ace Attorney series also includes a fourth DS entry and the Gyakuten Kenji (Ace Attorney Investigations) spinoff. WiiWare versions of these two have not been announced.

I guess this is good for those who don't have a DS, but there doesn't really seem to be much reason to get these if you have access to the DS versions (unless there's some unannounced exclusive Wii features included).

Gyakuten Saiban is a total portable game in my mind. I can't imagine playing it on the big screen.
Although maybe it's something that just has to get used to.

I assume that these games will be played on the Wii as opposed to the DS. It would nice that there is a DS version of the Wii's Virtual Console which allows players to download Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, and even DS games.
