DSi LL is big. How big? This big:

Impress Watch got boxed DSi LL units just as the system launched today. See this story for additional comparison pics, including close-up shots of how the DSi and DSi LL screens compare.
Wait until you see how the DSi LL compares to the PSP when opened.

THAT'S the picture I've been waiting for. This DSi LL thing is too good to pass up now, just for the novelty alone.

Also, can't wait to give Ketsui Death Label a spin on this sucker!

Judging by the Impress Watch comparison pics, the image quality doesn't look like it takes a hit on the larger screen.
I don't like the look of the system itself, though.
Although the bigger problem with upgrading is that I'd lose all my DSi Ware games. And I've got a bunch of them!

If I was going to upgrade to a DSi, I would definitely get this version. Of course, this still doesn't give me enough reason to make the upgrade.

Just saw it running today.
The screen looks so nice!
Urge to buy... rising.
Although I don't know if I'd want to get rid of my DSi, as it's more portable.
Curse Nintendo for not having a sensible common login system!

It is no joke. The DSi LL does fits its name for being "extra large" (LL in Japan). Imagine a few years from now when Nintendo releases the successor of the DS with the 4.2" screen.

I say go for it. Keep the old DSi for the portability, and use this one at home. That was the whole point of it, no? I never use my portables outside of the house, except when I pull it out at work when the internet is down. This contraption seems right up my alley. How heavy is it?

I haven't gotten to actually hold it, or even use it. It's always behind glass or strapped down to a platform.
