First Look: Dynasty Warriors Online PS3

Retailers spilled the fermented soy beans earlier in the week on Koei's plans for a PS3 version of Dynasty Warriors Online. Koei has at long last shared the specifics.

Shin Sanogku Musou Online, as it will be known here, is a PS3 version of the PC-based multiplayer online Dynasty Warriors game of same name. Like the PC version, the PS3 will offer play for up to 24, along with character customization, a guild system, and a quest system.

Like Uncharted Waters Online, players will need to buy a retail copy of Dynasty Warriors Online in order to play. This is different from the PC version, whose client can be downloaded for free.

Pricing for the PS3 version is set at ¥6,090 for the standard version and ¥8,190 for a Premium Box that comes bundled with undisclosed goodies.

It's presumable that, similar to the PC version, Koei will not have a subscription fee for the PS3 version. Players of the PC version purchase Musou Coin currency in order to purchase items and upgrade weapons, although these are not required for basic play, combat or communication.
