3D Dot Game Heroes Gets Christmas Update
Hard drive install and more to be joined by paid download content.

More content for From's retro-themed action RPG.
From Software will be wishing players a merry Christmas this year with new content for 3D Dot Game Heroes. Both free and paid content are on the way for December 25.
The free content comes in the form of a free update. This update adds such things as HDD install and a loading screen viewer -- apparently stuff that fans have been requesting.
Paid content will kick off with a single download contents pack consisting of 10 pieces of edit character data and 10 new stages for the Block Defense mini game. This DLC pack will sell for ¥250.
A second DLC pack will be available on January 8. Priced at ¥100, this will include 15 pieces of edit character data.

Really nice, now THAT'S fan service! :D I hope we get that here as well when the game's released in English.

Unambitious, as always. A loading screen viewer? How about _new_ loading scenes, since I've seen each one about 100 times by now. Minigame levels? how about actual new levels? There are a million and one spots in this game where you can hide a door to a secret dungeon. Better still, don't tell players where it is, they'll have to scour the world to find it. I don't mind throwing a few $/¥ to a developer for DLC, but they better make it worth my while. Personally I'd like a patch to fix the glitches in the game. Maybe in time for Atlus' release.
