Lost Planet 2 will see simultaneous release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 here on May 20.
Normally, a release date would be news enough for such a high profile game. But Capcom put in the extra effort this time just for Xbox 360 owners.
The date was actually announced at Capcom and Microsoft's jointly held "Capcom Title Premiere for Xbox 360" press conference. With 360 fans throughout the world paying attention, Capcom had a big bonus to announce for 360 owners. The 360 version of the game will feature Gears-themed costumes. Costumes for Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago will appear in the game.
Screens of the collaborative items and specifics on how they will be obtained were not shared at the press conference. However, Capcom has shared a teaser clip on Xbox Live Marketplace showing the collaboration. You can view a streaming version of the clip here:
Capcom also shared a separate trailer for the game. You can stream that here:
As reported at Inside Games, during the press conference, Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi hinted at more collaborations for Lost Planet 2, stating "We'll be readying these types of contents in the future as well."

I'm guessing the delay might be due to this. Since it is 360 exclusive why not release the PS3 version earlier.
