Square Enix announced today that worldwide shipments of Final Fantasy XIII have topped the 5 million mark.

The RPG first saw domestic PlayStation 3 release on December 17. That release was followed by European and North American releases for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on the 9th.

Those international releases were apparently successful. Of those 5 million, 3 million were for the game's first shipment to North America and Europe.

Total worldwide shipments for the Final Fantasy series as a whole have now topped the 96 million mark, Square Enix also announced today.

  • That's a lot of tampon filled oppressed misfit children.

  • Mjemirzian was obviously abused by his parents as a child. I guess you're one of the mentally handicapped, undersexed nerds who plays crap games like Mass Effect 2 just to watch aliens having sex, huh? Maybe while you're watching the sex scenes you cry into your bowl of popcorn wishing it was you.

Anyone who thinks Mass Effect 2 is a good game is kidding themselves and sales prove that. How much did Mass Flop 2 sell? About 2.5 million? LOL, Final Fantasy XIII beat that on day 1 in the west.

Mass Flop 2 doesn't sell and the reason for that is only the overweight, socially awkward losers with no sex life and no friends would ever want to play such a rubbish game with such bad graphics. Fortunately, there aren't too many of those in the gaming community. The people who are actually able to walk, to speak, to socialise and who actually have something to live for play the real RPG's like White Knight Chronicles and Final Fantasy. Nobody who respects themselves as a gamer would touch Mass Flop 2 with a 20 ft barge pole and sales prove that.

  • ahahaha.. tl;dr

Your child abuse fantasies are disturbing. Seek mental help!
