I already get enough weird looks whenever I buy stuff at most stores here. Now imagine what happens if I use this for my purchases:

Your looking at an official Idol Master VISA card, with an original piece of Idol Master artwork behind all the important numbers. Bandai Namco just opened up applications.

Here are the details. The card is issued by Mitsui Sumitomo Bank. There's no startup fee, and no annual fee. This is a normal VISA card (which just happens to have anime girls on it) so it can be used at any shop throughout the world that accepts VISA.

No, there's no small fee for each transaction, even though Idol Master fans would probably pay it.

Those who join up will get this as a bonus:

It's a set of ten Idol Master original business cards!

Ten business cards may not seem like a lot, but there's a way to get more. As you use the card, you get World Present Points. These can be exchanged for Idol Master VISA Card Limited Goods, the first of which is a set of 765 Productions Producer Business Cards.

The 100 card set runs 200 points. World Present Points are awarded at the rate of 1 point per 1,000 yen, so you'd have to spend 200,000 yen to get the cards. And you'll have to be quick about it, because only 1,000 sets will be produced.

1000 to 1 is a pretty crappy points conversion rate, if you ask me. Maybe they can give you bonus double the points when you use the card to buy virtual Idol Master goods on Xbox Live Marketplace, just like Sony does for purchases at Sony Style?
